When you sign up for the ICON Study Match program, our clinical research specialists will review your information at no cost and connect you with studies you may be eligible for.

When we find a match, ICON may contact you for further pre-screening, or we may share your information with a local study doctor's office for them to contact you directly. We may receive a referral fee from the sponsor of the study when we share this information with the doctor's office and when you sign up for a study.

Prior to enrolling in any specific clinical study, the site staff at the doctor's office will take you through the informed consent process for that study, where you will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have prior to deciding whether or not you wish to participate further in a study and share additional information with them.

You may also choose to receive invitations to complete surveys or participate in focus groups which will help us design clinical studies and talk about them with patients more effectively.

Where you give us your consent, we may use your information to: (a) identify appropriate clinical trials for you and to let you know about them; and/or (b) send you invitations to complete surveys or participate in focus groups. You can withdraw your consent at any time, but we may continue some limited processing where we have other legal grounds for doing so.

Where we are satisfied that we have a legitimate interest in doing so, we may also: (a) use your information to conduct scientific research and to run general statistical analysis in support of patient recruitment and similar analytical purposes; and (b) process your information to establish our claims to referral fees.
